Die skurrilen, liebenswerten Bewohner*innen grüßen vom Bordstein aus, farbenfrohe Hausfassaden leuchten neben grauem Asphalt…Hier haben die kleinen, oft unbeachteten Alltagsmomente ihren Auftritt, Sinnlichkeiten, die sonst unbemerkt bleiben. In Inga Krause's picture book debut, we follow the protagonist Isaak on a bicycle tour through the big city. The quirky, lovable residents greet us from the kerb, colourful house facades shine next to grey asphalt... Here, the small, often unnoticed everyday moments make their appearance, sensualities that otherwise go unnoticed. Looking at the textless pictorial narrative, one almost has the feeling of being able to smell the scent of Petrichor itself.
