Pere Ginard, artista y cineasta de gran trayectoria, desarrolla su propia clasificación del mundo y reúne en ella ilustraciones a plumilla que ha ido compilando, ordenando y etiquetando con paciencia de entomólogo decimonónico en sus cuadernos: series infinitas de formas naturales y metáforas visuales que suponen un desafío al lector mientras le exprimen una sonrisa.

Throughout history, human beings have tried to classify all the organisms in the universe: name them, describe them, order them... Reference works such as medieval bestiaries, catalogs of rarities or the first Aristotelian taxonomies are the starting point of this original editorial project.

Libro de maravillas brings together 101 sheets with unusual series through which more than a thousand characters and drawn "things" parade that make up an enchanted world, where diversity, the unexpected and the contingent take the form of a naive and exuberant encyclopedia.

Pere Ginard, an artist and filmmaker with a long career, develops his own classification of the world and gathers in it pen-and-ink illustrations that he has been compiling, ordering and labeling with the patience of a nineteenth-century entomologist in his notebooks: infinite series of natural forms and visual metaphors that imply a challenge to the reader while they squeeze a smile.
