But shortly after arriving, Re makes a surprising discovery: Re is not alone. Indeed, another lonely soul has beaten Re there! And so, Re meets Mi, and while each lives in their own chamber of the nook, these two single souls still become, at times, a kind of togetherness. Each remains alone but less lonely, and now each can watch over the solitude of the other. Moreover, on certain nights, the solitary songs of them both might be heard cadencing the night together, in harmony, across the vast and starry sky.

Re packt einen Koffer und macht sich auf einem Lichtstrahl auf den Weg, hinaus in die kosmische Einsamkeit des Weltraums. Re will zu der gemütlichen Ecke gelangen, die der Mond angeblich besitzt. Doch kurz nach der Ankunft macht Re eine überraschende Entdeckung: Re ist nicht allein. Tatsächlich ist eine andere einsame Seele Re zuvorgekommen! Und so trifft Re auf Mi, und obwohl jeder in seiner eigenen Kammer der Nische lebt, entsteht zwischen diesen beiden einsamen Seelen doch manchmal eine Art Zweisamkeit. Jeder bleibt allein, ist aber weniger einsam, und nun kann jeder über die Einsamkeit des anderen wachen.
