Ein Kind träumt sich hinein in den Wunsch, ein Baum zu sein. Ein großer Baum, der fest verwurzelt in der Erde steht, der lebendig ist und so stark, dass er Schutz bietet für viele: für die Nester der Vögel, die Mäusefamilie in der Erde unter ihm, für das Baumhaus des Bruders. Als Baum wäre das Kind unverrückbar und eins mit der Landschaft, dem Wind, dem nächtlichen Himmel. Es hätte viel Zeit, langsam zu wachsen. Andrea Hensgen spinnt denTraum eines Kindes aus, das nicht bleiben darf, wo es zu Hause war. Das aufbrechen muss mit Mutter, Vater, Bruder und Schwester zu einem Ort, den es nicht kennt. Hannah Brückner nimmt die feinen Fäden auf, setzt die Sehnsucht um in lichte Bilder, die nicht ohne Hoffnung sind auf das Austreiben neuer Wurzeln an einem neuen Ort.
